This is a perfect digital version of "Five Little Monkeys" a beloved tale by legions of kids and their parents. It is an adorably illustrated classic from the print version by Eileen Christelow. This book series consistently gets 5 stars from Amazon.com reviews and includes games, audio books, board books and every spin-off product you can imagine. As an ebook app for young children, this one has a well-deserved place at the top of the charts.
The 5 little monkeys go through their nighttime routine, including jumping on the bed until ... they fall off the bed and bump their heads. I'm sure you saw that coming. But mama didn't! So she calls the doctor and in his wisdom and authority he say, "No more monkeys jumping on the bed!" This continues again with "4 little monkeys" and so forth. This version ends with mama jumping on her own bed, once the kids are all tucked in and asleep, bandages and all. My son LOVES this book and laughs out loud at the final scene of mama jumping every time we read it.
Like the Seuss books (also by Oceanhouse Media), this book is interactive in a way that enhances early reading skills. Most images (monkeys, items in their room and their actions - like brushing teeth and jumping), can be tapped to hear the words aloud while the word brienfly appears over the illustration. For example, touch the bed in any scene and the word "bed" appears and is spoken aloud by the narrator. You can even 'count' the monkeys on nearly every page by tapping their heads in order from right to left. The text also highlights as the narrator says each word.
The book is nicely narrated with monkey sounds in the background. It has easy page turn and a nice array of settings, although the interactive elements have sound even with the 'sound' setting on 'off' so for silent reading time, mute the device. This is a great title for pre-readers, reading learners and children up to age 8 to read to themselves. It will likely even enchant toddlers - a book for many seasons of your child's love affair with books.

Story Synopsis - Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed
It was bedtime so 5 little monkeys took a bath, put on jammies, brushed teeth and said goodnight. Then ... they began to jump on the bed! One fell off and bumped his head. Mama called the doctor and the doctor said, "No more monkeys jumping on the bed!" Then ... 4 little monkeys start jumping. Each falls off in order, mama calls the doctor and the story continues until ... they all finally fall fast asleep. Now the mama can go to bed ... except now she is the one jumping. :)
